Qiang Zeng is a undergrad student at the University of Southern California, pursuing a double major in Computer Science and Applied and Computational Mathematics. Her academic journey is guided by an interest in data science and a commitment to continuous learning, evidenced by her involvement in various coursework and research under the mentorship of James Flemings. Currently, She contributes to a research project focusing on differential privacy (DP) with model compression using synthetic data. This work aims to improve privacy within large language models through innovative DP compression techniques, leveraging her skills in Python and machine learning.
Dylan Sun is a second-year undergraduate at the Thomas Lord Department of Computer Science majoring in Computer Science for Games. As a CURVE fellowship awardee, his academic emphasis is on physics-based inverse graphics tailored for real-time applications, encompassing the development of pertinent algorithms and systems. Dylan possesses a solid background in High Performance Computing, architecture of graphics and machine learning backends, differential geometry and physics-based rendering (PBR). Beyond his academic pursuits, Dylan serves as an engineering lead at the USC Rocket Propulsion Laboratory. In this role, he is instrumental in developing attitude estimation and flight control software for the laboratory's spaceshot rockets.
Michael Qi is an ambitious second year electrical and computer engineering student interested in designing faster and power efficient computers. He also enjoy exploring ways artificial intelligence, wearable technology, and cloud computing can be harnessed for social good.
Woody Gan is currently a sophomore majoring in Mathematics and Computer Science. Although a beginner in research, He is deeply interested in any field related to Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, with a particular emphasis on Large Language Models. He is currently conducting research on the differential privacy of Large Language Models under the guidance of his mentor, James Flemings, and he eagerly anticipates achieving meaningful results. His driving force is a dream: to make the world a more convenient place.
